Hint taken. ;)
As I've said before, I really like to blog, so I'm glad to have some encouragement that got me back at the keyboard.
It's been quite a few months since my last post...which was ALSO a "catch up" post.
Are you noticing a trend here?
So here I am in a boring and long class right now, so instead of perusing Pinterest and finding out all about what I don't wear, recipes I don't make, organization I don't have and DIY projects that maybe should be labeled DIN = Do It Never.....I decided to plunge back into the blogging world and fill your feedly page with my thoughts and pictures. Isn't it your lucky day?
Here we go again with a quick picture update...I swear that this time there really are some events that I will fully document. Cause as noted many times before, I am not good at journaling.
Ok I admit it...I'm one of those people that likes to take pictures of my food ("look at this instagram, eggs benedict side of ham...") But cooking is one of the things I love, so whatever, I'll enjoy my pictures. This one is quinoa stuffed acorn squash with chicken salad.
We also had a Thanksgiving dinner with MELCC (Mckenzie, Ellen, Lindsay, Christie and Cortnee)...and all our husbands. One of the things I was in charge of was this:
It was my 3rd turkey ever and I was definitely pleased with how it turned out! More than anything just having time for all of us to spend time together is always the best. TEAM FRIENDSHIP!
My mom, Val and I threw a Princess Themes baby shower for my sister Ali, it was a grand affair. Ali was the queen and now a few months later adorable little princess Adelaide has arrived and we just love her!
Here I go with the food again...
These are gluten free, dairy free (yea that's right I don't eat those things...thanks parasite) chocolate chip cookies. They were yum.
Christmas Devotional at the Conference Center! Always a good time with these folks.
The messages and music were so good at the devotional, put me right in the Christmas spirit.
Now HERE is an important announcement.
INTRAMURAL CHAMPION!!
This was a really fun group to play soccer with and we brought home the W!
...and the coveted T-Shirt. Russ maybe wishes that I'd gotten mine in his size ;)
Oh and last but not least...
See this dwelling that kind of looks like one of the portable classrooms you see at elementary schools?
Well that For Sale sign definitely isn't in the yard anymore because WE BOUGHT IT.That's right, homeowners. (Huh?!) We've been in the house about a month and a half and we love it! It's a multi-family home so we live in the 2 bedroom basement apartment and rent out the top to a family. It's definitely an adventure but we're loving it and feeling very blessed!
